Sebastian Bader is a Research Associate at Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) in the research group Web Science and Knowledge Engineering. His research focus is on semantic technologies for the Internet of Things, especially in the context of industrial manufacturing. He earned his Masters degree in Industrial Engineering and Management in 2015. After a stay in the United States with various involvements in public train repairs at Init Inc. (VA) he shifted his studies towards industrial maintenance and its optimization.
In his daily work Sebastian Bader utilizes ontologies and web services to create and combine distributed approaches for web-based industrial processes. His research concentrates on flexible execution pipelines, where automated engines assist operators to cope with complex and dynamic situations.
