Alexander Rind

CV

Alexander Rind is a scientific researcher at the  Institute of Creative\Media/Technologies, St. Poelten University of Applied Sciences, where he is involved in  basic and applied research projects in Information Visualization and Visual Analytics. Furthermore, he teaches visualization and analytics at FH St. Pölten and FH OÖ in Hagenberg . He pursues his doctoral studies about interaction in Information Visualization of time-oriented data at Vienna University of Technology. Before that, he studied Information Systems (Wirtschaftsinformatik) in Vienna and Lund and received his M.Sc. degree from the Vienna University of Technology in 2004.

His main research interests are Visualization, Visual Analytics, Science of Interaction, and time-oriented data. Bridging the gap between theory and practice, he is interested in the application of Information Visualization for medical users and in business data.
